Brain Wave Patterns

There are four categories of brain wave patterns. The most rapid is called a beta brain wave pattern, the pattern of normal waking consciousness. Beta is associated with concentration, arousal, alertness, and cognition.  At its highest, most rapid levels, though, beta is associated with anxiety, disharmony, and dis-ease.

As you become more relaxed, your brain wave activity slows into what is called an alpha brain wave pattern. Alpha patterns vary from deep alpha, a state of deep relaxation often referred to as the twilight state between sleep and waking, to the higher end of alpha which is a more focused yet still very relaxed state.

Hypnosis is done in the Alpha, Theta and Delta states.  The appropriate depth is determined by the purpose of the session.

Brain Waves

Beta waves (13 - 40 Hz):

This is the realms of activity and peak concentration. Adults are for the most part of a daytime in this state of consciousness.

Alpha waves (7 - 12 Hz):

State of relaxation, slumber, light meditation. It is the entry point that leads into deeper states of consciousness.

Theta waves (4 - 7 Hz):

State of deep meditation or REM sleep. Theta waves are gateway to learning and memory. Theta meditation enhances learning ability, reduces stress, increases creativity, intuition and other extrasensory perception skills.

Delta waves (0 - 4 Hz):

This is the realms of deep sleep without dreaming. Delta waves are very important for bodily health. Some frequencies in this sphere triggers the release of Growth Hormones beneficial for healing.  


Key Frequencies

10 – 12 Hz – ALPHA - gateway to the subconscious,   conductive to harmony , meditation, self-centering

7 - 8 Hz – ALPHA - Earth electromagnetic frequency, meditation, creativity, invention, solutions to troublesome problems

7 Hz - THETA — conductive to remote viewing, extra sensitive perception, high level consciousness, meditation

6 Hz - THETA - relaxation, super learning, memory, meditation

4 Hz – DELTA - reduction in levels of exhaustion

3.5 Hz - DELTA- deep relaxation, super learning languages

1.5 Hz – DELTA—release from the negative symptoms of Chronic Fatigue, deep sleep.
